HOW IT
ALL STARTED.

Shotgun Start Tee™ started where two things I love meet: golf and enjoying a cold drink with friends. I earned my aerospace engineering degree with honors, and I wanted to put that design mindset toward something that could make a round even more fun.

I'm hardly alone in connecting golf and a drink. A 2023 survey of 1,500 U.S. golfers reported averages of 4.8 drinks per 18-hole round in Florida and 4.6 in Texas. For me, it was one more reason to bring the golf tee and the can tools together.

So I designed Shotgun Start Tee™ to do three jobs in one: tee up your ball, lift a can tab, and get a shotgun started. What began as a fun idea became a real product made for the rounds you remember.
